SCARECROW FESTIVAL WINNERS!
Despite the challenging weather, the 2nd Annual Scarecrow Festival was a huge success! We had a total of 36 entries between Cabella Creek, Bridgetower and West Highlands. Each community had 3 grand prize winners who won cash from $250 to $750. All other entrants are receiving $50 a piece just for entering! Our winners were absolutely ecstatic to receive their cash prizes! Due to educational budget cuts they are all desperately lacking in the extra funds needed in their classrooms. The winners plan on spending their money on such things as calculators, books, field trips and other learning tools and supplies. Here are this year's winners:
WEST HIGHLANDS
1ST PLACE $750: Suzanne Wolfkiel's 5th Grade Class at Mill Creek Elementary
2ND PLACE $500: Middleton Heights Elementary
3RD PLACE $250: Roundtree's Class at Middleton Middle School
BRIDGETOWER
1ST PLACE $750: MEI/YMCA Preschool at Hunter Elementary
2ND PLACE $500: Edge Dance Team at Eagle High School
3RD PLACE $250: Joplin Elementary
CABELLA CREEK
1ST PLACE $750: HOSA - Health Occupations Students of America at Mountain View High School
2ND PLACE $500: Stringer/Ambrose 4th Grade at Siena K-8
3RD PLACE $250: 2nd Grade Stallions at Siena K-8
