Local Veterans of Foreign Wars will use funds to benefit youth
Our thanks go out to all the past and present members of the military who took part in our second annual Coleman Homes Tour for Troops campaign! We donated $50 to the Idaho Veterans of Foreign Wars on behalf of each one who visited a Coleman residential community during the first two weeks of November, and we were pleased to raise $1900 in all.
On Wednesday, November 18th we presented the check to Idaho State Senior Vice Commander of VFW Post 142, Terry L. Thomas and VFW State Quartermaster Thomas Black. Thomas said the funds would be used to benefit the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen, two VFW education programs encouraging students to explore democratic ideals through audio and written essays.
We’re glad for this opportunity to aid local veterans and students, and we couldn’t do it without your participation and support. Thanks for helping us make it happen!
